Keep your table link private.
A table link lets people reach joining information. Joined diners can see the information needed to split and settle, including names, shares and the host’s payment QR. A table is shared with its diners, not private to each individual.

CanSplit does not save original receipt photos in its bill database. Extracted bill details are saved. We ask OpenAI not to store the response; this is not a guarantee of zero provider retention.

Unsaved tables have 24-hour access. Saved bills remain in the host’s account; there is currently no seven- or 30-day history limit. Closing a table ends guest access and records cleared balances as waived, not paid.

Account holders can export individual bill summaries, edit preferences, remove their saved PayNow QR and move bills to the bin. Binned bills are recoverable for 30 days. Removing a profile QR does not remove copies on existing bills.

Delete your account from My bills → Account settings, using a fresh email code. This removes your profile and hosted bills. Guest entries on other hosts’ bills are not linked to your account and remain with those hosts; contact support for help.

What this page doesn’t promise.
- Receipt recognition can make mistakes. Check the receipt before sharing a bill.
- A payment marked by a diner is not proof of a bank transfer.
- Database cleanup depends on scheduled jobs completing. Provider logs and backups can have separate retention periods.
- These are product statements, not independent security certification. Backup retention and full device-level deletion acceptance still need operational verification.
